Introduction
This tasty snack helps you get that taste of something sweet without the addition of refined sugars, so it’s great for those who are looking to reduce their sugar intake. It’s packed with fibre from oats and flax seed while also providing you with healthy fats and protein, essential for maintaining energy levels and supporting muscle repair.
Method
Step 1. Soak dates in boiling water for 15-30 minutes if needed and then drain
Step 2. Blend the dates in a food processor until it is the con- sistency of a paste
Step 3. Grate the orange zest and add all remaining ingredients to the food processor until it resembles a dough like texture. Prefer it chunkier? Then blend a little less
Step 4. Press into a lined tin and place into the fridge to set firm. Cut into 10 portions when set. Enjoy!
